#HealthyClintonHill Health Tip -Strategic Weightloss

#HealthyFriends So here are a few strategic ways to achieve maximal weight loss.

Let’s go!#YouGotThis

Achieving your weight loss goals has a lot to do with strategy. As you try different methods, you’ll learn how your body responds to certain foods and types of exercises. However, there are some general guidelines you should follow to maximize your fat loss. Check out these great tips on how properly timing your meals and workouts can help you reach your fitness goals.

  • Best time to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner: You should always eat breakfast within an hour of waking up. About 4.5 hours after that, you should have lunch, and a couple hours after that, dinner.
  • Best time to weigh yourself: Weighing yourself first thing in the morning will provide you with the most accurate read on your weight, but if the morning doesn’t work, make sure you weigh yourself at the same time — and on the same scale — to keep things consistent.
  • Best time of the day to work out: Morning! One study found that subjects who were put on a high-fat diet and worked out before breakfast gained no weight after six weeks, while those who worked out after breakfast gained three pounds. When you exercise in the morning, you kick-start your metabolism and burn more calories throughout the day.
  • Best time to cheat on a diet: If you want to sneak in one or two of your favorite foods on a particular day, there’s actually an ideal time to “splurge” — and it might surprise you. When it comes to carbs, celebrity trainer Bob Harper says the best time to enjoy carbs is for breakfast, and according to Dr. Oz, the best time to eat fats is at 10 a.m. Both work to fuel and energize your body, but when you enjoy them in the morning, you have ample time to burn them off all day.

#HealthyClintonHill Health Tip – Food Journaling

What is up #HealthFriends Health Tip Of The Day is brought to you by #FoodJournaling baaaaby!!!!   #WhenYouKnowBetterYouDoBetter So let’s get into it  Losing weight is not as hard as you want to make it. Remember this, it is a matter of calories in vs. calories out. In order to shed the pounds, you have to burn more calories than you consume. Now here is what we struggle with, the problem is, a lot of folks don’t realize they are overeating and thus inadvertently gaining weight #YesYouDoButAlas.

This is where your food journal comes in. Keeping a log of what you eat will help you track your meals to ensure you meet your daily target. Also, when you realize how many calories are in certain meals, you may be more inclined to opt for a healthier options, BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT!

Here are some steps:

  • Start off with a positive attitude: If you go into it dreading it you won’t do it #PlainAndSimple
  • Match Your Methods To Your Goals – What Do You Want to get out of your Tracking? Do you want to do better than yesterday? Hmmn?
  • Map Your Week In Advance – Here we go again – PREPARATION KEEPS YOU STRUCTURED, FOCUSED and ON TASK #NuffSaid
  • Don’t Let Setbacks Stop You – Just Keep Going, Keep Journaling! Stay on Course #SetBacksHappen
  • Set Reminders – If you can’t Remember to Journal set a reminder on your phone for right after your meal.
  • Tell The Story Of Your Food – Why did you get the snicker bar? Were you running late for something and just had to grab something? Tell the Story to help you later Yeeees honey, right it allllll down!
